The band sounds great, and many others play it as you do. However, the band originally wrote it in 11/8. Check out the original version and you have to count it as, 123, 223, 323, 12. I saw an interview with Gregg Allman where he said he didn't write it that way, but it was changed by the drummer and bass player when I get ready to record it.
